Fringe Earrings

“Matter & Spirit” beaded detailing on natural deer leather with sterling silver french earring hooks. Hand cut double sided fringe is thick, flowing, and incredibly lightweight. 

This exclusive design is one-of-a-kind and will not be replicated.

Directly inspired by Kelsey Overstreet’s painting, “Matter & Spirit”, these earrings encompass the theme of Balance. How do we navigate the tension of movement and containment in a serene and calming way? This year is a practice of taking on opposing forces and allowing them to live in peace on the same plane. This artwork is a practice of that balance, too.

Matter and Spirit

Spirit is the essence, the active principle in every living being. Without spirit, matter can’t do anything.

Matter is the ‘stuff’ bodies are made of, the stuff that makes up the whole universe.

I like to think of the intelligence of the body, and how the mind affects the body and the body affects the mind in ways we are only beginning to understand.

These unique, storytelling earrings are crafted from sustainably sourced whitetail deer hide, which will develop a beautiful patina over time from your natural oils.

Earrings are finished with sterling silver french earring hooks.

PACKAGING

All orders are shipped in beautiful packaging with upcycled Sari Silk Ribbon, a handwritten ‘Thank You’ on handmade paper, and a quartz crystal hand-picked by my brother in the mountains of Southern Colorado.

CARE GUIDE

Leather is innately strong and long lasting. However, to keep your leather item in it’s best condition please store in a cool, dry place. Keep away from hair products. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and remove before bathing or swimming, as this will strip leather of it’s natural oils.
